Dr Stefan Stübinger

Dr Stefan Stübinger is Co-Investigator in the DAVINCI project and he will be supporting the project in regard to the integration of the lateral flow assay, the innovative saliva sampling and the new lenses into a simple to use saliva test. He will perform user testing and perform several rounds of prototyping and improvements of the test device.

He studied dentistry in Munich and did his specialization in oral surgery in 2006. He is a member of the Hightech Research Center of Cranio-maxillofacial Surgery, Basel, Switzerland. Prior to taking up this position in 2015, he was a member of the Competence Center for Applied Biotechnology and Molecular Medicine (CABMM), University of Zurich, where he was group leader of the Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery and Implantology Group. He was awarded his Habilitation in 2012.

Stefan holds various patents, developed several medtech devices and is initiator and co-founder of six spin-off companies. In numerous multi-disciplinary and ongoing research projects he is involved in the development of a new standard to evaluate and monitor individual risk factors related to different diseases, based on the evaluation of body fluids. Stefan’s major aim and vision is to go off from delayed reactive medical services to evidence-based predictive, preventive and personalized medicine (3P) with an increased level of health among the general population.
