Greet Van Malderen is the acting general manager of the BRCCH. She oversees the Centre’s budget and is responsible for its operational activities and governance-related tasks. Furthermore, she contributes to its strategic and communications projects. As a member of the Centre’s executive team, she works closely with the BRCCH Directors and liaises with the BRCCH Board and Strategic Scientific Advisory Board. She has a law degree, an MBA and an MSc in development management, as well as a teaching diploma. She has previously worked as a lawyer and attorney in Belgium, a researcher at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in the Netherlands, a teacher and staff officer to the Rector at the University of Applied Sciences in Hasselt, Belgium, and a project manager and short-term consultant for various projects in low- and middle-income countries such as Tanzania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Tajikistan, Ghana, Ukraine and Albania.
