Dr Michele Gregorini is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Chemical and Bioengineering (ICB) at ETH Zurich and co-founder of the ETH spin-off Diaxxo AG. Dr Gregorini is a pioneer fellow of ETH Zurich and his PhD thesis focuses on the agile development of a variety of chemical devices. His main project has been the development of hardware and software for the peakPCR platform, a series of thermocycling devices performing PCR analysis in a fraction of the usual time. Dr Gregorini obtained his PhD in Prof Wendelin Stark’s group after finishing his master’s degree in mechanical engineering at ETH Zurich.
