Professor at the Victor Babeș University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timișoara, Romania, she has held major leadership roles in allergy and clinical immunology at both national and European levels, including presidency of the Romanian Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology and service as Member-at-Large on the Executive Board of the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. Her research interest addresses allergic sensitization profiles in Romania and advances in molecular allergology, with particular emphasis on recombinant allergen expression, and the characterization of immune responses induced by allergen immunotherapy and biological therapies in asthma.
She is an honorary member of the Romanian Academy of Medical Sciences and currently serves as President of the Commission on Allergology and Clinical Immunology within the Romanian College of Physicians. As Vice President of the International Network of Medical Universities in Molecular Allergology and Immunology, she contributed to the design and implementation of training programs in allergology and molecular immunology. She is Editor-in-Chief of Alergologia, acts as a peer reviewer for leading journals, and has authored widely cited scientific contributions. Her publication record comprises 28 books and monographs and 57 papers published in ISI-indexed journals, with an h-index of 16 and 1,296 citations.
