Prof Marco Cappa is the Head of the Endocrinology & Diabetes Unit and the Innovative Therapies for Endocrinopathies Research Area at Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital, IRCCS, Rome, Italy. His specialties include paediatric endocrinology and sports medicine and his scientific areas of interest include growth disorders, neuroendocrinology and genetics. Prof Cappa is a member of several associations, including the Italian Society of Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes (SIEDP), of which he served as President from 2011 to 2013, the European Society of Neuroendocrinology, the Endocrine Society and the European Society for Paediatric Endocrinology.
