Prof Sorin Claudiu Man is a medical doctor specializing in paediatrics and paediatric pulmonology. He completed his PhD on the pharmacological treatment of paediatric diseases at the Iuliu Hațieganu University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, in 2000, where he is currently the Head of Pediatrics III in the Faculty of Medicine and the Director of the Department of International Students. He is also the Vice President of the Romanian Society of Pediatrics and the Head of the Pediatrics III Clinic at the Emergency Clinical Hospital for Children in Cluj-Napoca.

Prof Man is the principal investigator of several multicentric studies regarding the prevention and treatment of paediatric diseases. He has published more than 97 articles in extenso, nine books (with two as first author) and 29 book chapters.
