Sumaiyya Thawer is a PhD student in the Analytics and Intervention Modelling group at the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (Swiss TPH). Her project aims to explore the utility of routine health facility data to malaria risk stratification and surveillance. She has over six years of experience working in monitoring and evaluation in Tanzania and currently provides technical support to mainland Tanzania’s National Malaria Control Programme in various malaria surveillance activities under Swiss TPH’s Towards Elimination of Malaria in Tanzania (TEMT) project.
