Based on Article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution and the Data Protection Act of the Confederation (Data Protection Act, DSG), every person has the right to the protection of his or her privacy and to protection against the misuse of personal data.

Newsletters, Surveys and Other Online Services
We use third-party services for data collection and communication purposes, including the following:

You can subscribe to our newsletter using Mailchimp. By doing so, you are permitting us to email you periodically about news and upcoming events. The data you enter will be transferred to and processed by Mailchimp. If you no longer wish to receive our newsletter, you can unsubscribe at any time. Further information can be found here.

We may ask you to complete survey information using Google Forms. By completing these submissions, you are consenting to share your information with both the BRCCH and Google. Further information can be found here.

You can register for online events using Zoom. By filling out Zoom forms, you are allowing the BRCCH and Zoom access to your personal information. Zoom may collect additional personal information when you attend these virtual events. Further information can be found here.

We process this data in accordance with Art. 9 of the Canton of Basel Stadt’s Information and Data Privacy Act (IDPA) and the corresponding university regulations.

We may also use the information you provide to communicate with you unless prohibited by the rules or laws.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

In some cases, we may use cookies and other tracking technologies to collect and use personal information such as your IP address, the browser you use, your operating system and your internet connection. The use of cookies increases the user-friendliness and security of the website.
